Just wanted to mention quickly how great Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks new album, Real Emotional Trash, is. If you are not accustomed to Steve Malkmus' song writing it might take you a second to really hear it and appreciate it, but when you do you will notice how great this record is. His guitar playing is very good and even though some of the songs get long with instrumental stuff you will enjoy it as he keeps your interest throughout (Real Emotional Trash). If you haven't heard any Pavement or any of his solo stuff I would suggest picking up Pavement albums Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and Slanted Enchanted. Face the Truth is a good solo album, but so is Pig Lib and surely this one.
Give this a listen and then check out some of the albums. word.
